Internships and research-teaching practice for final-year students of Azerbaijan University have commenced
The internship program for final-year undergraduate students of Azerbaijan University has commenced. In total, 479 students are participating in internships across various public institutions, private companies, and non-governmental organizations. The internships, which began on February 16, 2026, will continue until May 22, 2026, for the specialties “Organization of Tourism Business” and “Museum, Archival Studies and Monuments Preservation”, and until June 19, 2026, for other specialities.
A meeting dedicated to the launch of the internship program was attended by interns, internship supervisors, staff of the academic affairs department, and heads of departments. During the meeting, information was provided on the nature, organization, and evaluation of the internship, and participants’ questions were addressed. It was noted that the primary objective of the internship is to reinforce students’ theoretical knowledge with practical skills, familiarize them with real labor market requirements, and provide initial professional experience.
It should be noted that 359 students from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, 47 students from the Faculty of Business and Economics, and 73 students from the Faculty of Information and Communication Technologies are participating in the internship program. Internship placements include state and local government bodies; translation and language service centers; cultural, scientific, and educational institutions; rehabilitation and psychological service centers; as well as enterprises in the tourism sector. Students will complete their internships at both public and private institutions such as ASAN Service, SOCAR, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population, the Probation Service of the Ministry of Justice, Bakcell, “Ulduz” magazine of the Union of Azerbaijani Writers, “Shams” Translation Center, “Avrasiya” Translation Center, “Oykos” Development Center, Sabail District Municipality of Baku, the Independence Museum of Azerbaijan, the Institute of Archaeology and Anthropology of ANAS, Oxbridge Academy, Planet Travel, the Nasimi District organization of the New Azerbaijan Party, Kripton Business Solutions, Optima Business Solutions, the Innovation and Digital Development Agency under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, the Institute of Mathematics under the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and the Center of International Relations and Diplomatic Studies.
In addition, the research-teaching practice and research internships for second-year master’s students have also commenced. A total of 53 master’s students across 7 specialties are participating in the internship program. The research-teaching practice will conclude on March 13, while the research internship will take place from March 16 to April 10.
