Certificates were awarded to faculty members who successfully completed the training modules implemented during the current academic year by the Lifelong Education Support: Training and Education Center and the Quality Assurance Department of Azerbaijan University, aimed at enhancing the pedagogical competencies of the University’s teaching staff. The event was attended by Rector of Azerbaijan University, PhD in Philology Saadat Aliyeva; Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs, PhD in Math Yusif Gasimov; advisor to the Rector, PhD in History, Assoc. Prof. Nushaba Guliyeva; as well as deans, heads of departments, faculty members, and administrative staff.

Opening the event with welcoming remarks, head of the Training and Education Center Samir Salayev provided information on the training modules delivered during the autumn semester of the 2025/2026 academic year and presented statistical data on participation outcomes. He noted that throughout the semester, the following modules were conducted: “Deriving correct course learning outcomes from program-level outcomes and developing appropriate assessment questions”; “Checking assessment questions related to learning outcomes, and lesson assignments”; “Correct formulation of exam questions and assessment of subject learning outcomes”; and “Knowledge and Activity Strategies in line with Subject Learning Outcomes (SLO) in Interactive Training”. Expressing gratitude to the University administration for creating favorable conditions for the professional development of faculty members, Samir Salayev congratulated the instructors who successfully completed the first, second, and third training modules.

Head of the Quality Assurance Department Lala Abasova also addressed the participants, emphasizing the importance of training in the professional development of faculty members and informing attendees about upcoming training modules.

The award ceremony then commenced. Certificates were presented to the faculty members by Rector Saadat Aliyeva, advisor to the Rector Nushaba Guliyeva, Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs Yusif Gasimov, and head of Department Leyla Agamaliyeva.

The event concluded with remarks by Rector Saadat Aliyeva, who highly commended the activities of the Center and congratulated the faculty members who received certificates. The Rector also addressed the key objectives facing the Training and Education Center and expressed confidence in its continued effective and successful operation.
