Azerbaijan University was represented at the “Transnational Education Forum”
Azerbaijan University was represented at the “Transnational Education Forum”, organized by the British Council within the framework of the “Going Global Partnership” program. Head of the International Relations Department Elmira Ismayilova and department specialist Sevlan Gurbanova participated in the event.
The purpose of the Forum, organized in partnership with Khazar University, was to expand opportunities for educational cooperation between Azerbaijan and the United Kingdom. The event discussed the prospects for the development of transnational education between the two countries, existing experience in this field, and future opportunities for cooperation. At the same time, issues related to identifying mechanisms and tools to support transnational education in the higher education systems of both countries were addressed.
Speaking at the forum, the Director of the British Council in Azerbaijan, Nargiz Hajiyeva, spoke about the importance of the program and the prospects for the development of educational relations between Azerbaijan and the United Kingdom. Then Fergus Auld, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom to Azerbaijan, emphasized the strategic importance of cooperation in the field of higher education between the two countries. The opening speech at the event was delivered by the Rector of Khazar University, Raziya Isayeva. In her speech, the Rector noted that international partnerships play an important role in the development of universities and highlighted the importance of transnational education in the context of the internationalization of higher education.
It should be noted that, within the framework of the Forum, an online presentation of the organization strategy in the field of transnational education was also delivered by Eduardo Ramos, Head of Higher Education Systems and Internationalization at the British Council. The presentation provided detailed information on global trends in transnational education, strategic approaches, and opportunities for cooperation.
