An event dedicated to the application of modern technologies in the educational process was organized by the Department of Foreign Languages at Azerbaijan University. The event, titled “New Technologies and the Language Learning Process”, was attended by members of the Department’s administrative and academic staff, as well as foundation-year students majoring in Information Security.

During the event, Fariz Kazimov, a lecturer at the department, delivered a presentation on AI applications used in language instruction. The presentation highlighted the opportunities created by various AI programs in the language learning process. Examples were presented of how these technologies can support the development of speaking skills, text generation, the organization of listening tasks, the design of interactive activities, and the implementation of personalized learning methods. Additionally, guidelines for using these tools were demonstrated, accompanied by explanations of how teachers can leverage artificial intelligence technologies to create an interactive learning environment.

The presentation also offered valuable insights for students. They were shown methods for using AI programs correctly and effectively, while highlighting the vital role these technologies play in developing language proficiency.
