The 20th anniversary of the Student Youth Organization (SYO) of Azerbaijan University was celebrated. The event was attended by the University leadership, members of the academic and administrative staff, students, parents, the SYO Board, chairmen of student youth organizations from various higher education institutions, as well as representatives of higher and secondary specialized educational institutions.

During the official part of the event, information was presented about the 20-year development path of the SYO, its achievements, implemented projects, and its role in enhancing students` social engagement. The Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs, Yusif Gasimov, delivered a congratulatory speech, congratulating SYO members on the anniversary and emphasizing that the organization serves as an important platform for strengthening ties between students and the University, as well as for fostering youth initiative and leadership skills. The SYO Chairman, Huseyn Rustamli, expressed gratitude to all former chairmen, board members, and active students who contributed to the establishment and development of the organization and stated that the SYO will continue contributing to student life through new projects and initiatives.

The event continued with a concert program. The artistic segment began with a performance by singer Mardan Kazimov. This was followed by performances from Babak Afandi, Samira Rajabli, Nell, as well as Nair Rustamli, Fakhri Ismayilov, Ilkin Dovlatov – the singers who have represented Azerbaijan at the Eurovision Song Contest in different years, and the music group Mamagama performed their popular and widely recognized songs, creating an uplifting atmosphere for the audience. In the artistic program, Nigar Hasanli, the chairwoman of the University`s Student Youth Organization`s “CreArt” cultural club, host of the event, and second-year Accounting student, also performed two songs.
